West Virginia is the only state that lays entirely within Appalachia. Our greatest natural resource isn't coal, natural gas or any extractable commodity. It is our God given gift of beautiful forests and streams. One resident of southern Appalachia's streams is the threatened species known by the common name "hellbender". This remarkable species is the mascot for this new and needed website resource. A place where adventure sport enthusiasts in West Virginia and the surrounding region can sound off and more importantly, come together for the common good. Restoring, protecting and conserving our natural resources.
